About Guangzhou

Guangzhou is known as the “Southern Gateway” of China and a national central city. It was one of the earliest treaty ports in China. With a history of over 2200 years of city establishment, Guangzhou is one of the first batch of historical and cultural cities announced by the State Council. It is the birthplace of the ancient Maritime Silk Road in China, the center of Lingnan culture, the cradle of modern revolutionary history, and the forefront of contemporary reform and opening up. Guangzhou is also called the “Goat City” and is renowned as the “Flower City.” It is one of the most economically developed regions in China, boasting abundant tourism resources and a solid base of tourists. Guangzhou is not only a time-honored commercial hub but also a shopping paradise and a well-known “Culinary Capital” across China. The saying “Eat in Guangzhou” has long been famous. The China Import and Export Fair, known as the “No.1 Fair in China,” is held in Guangzhou. Guangzhou is located in the Pearl River Delta, with the southern foothills of Nanling Mountains to its north and the South China Sea to its south. It has distinct maritime climatic characteristics, and both the ocean and the mainland have a significant impact on its climate. The land types are diverse and versatile, and the terrain is complex. The terrain slopes from the northeast to the southwest. The geological structure is complex, and the city is rich in mineral resources. The biological species are abundant and grow rapidly.
